Manhattan Reflections
7am: Chelsea 7pm: Battery Park

7am
Sitting in Citizens of Chelsea just after 7am, I appreciate the city's ambition. At around this hour, New York transitions from quiet to purposeful. I love to watch as the first service vehicles appear, followed by people moving with a clear objective. It is not a romantic scene; it is an observation of a city powering up. The concentration of so many people all starting their day to build something, whether a business or a career…I love this!!
7pm
My favorite place for reflection is Battery Park. From here, I get a literal view of the financial district, which allows me to reflect on the immense business density within a one-mile radius. It is evident that this area is a global hub for finance, home to the New York Stock Exchange and the Federal Reserve Bank. The sheer scale is empowering. It is a tangible, measurable concentration of economic power. The city's greatness is a direct result of so much capital and talent being packed into one small space.
Ultimately, what I love about New York is this extreme density. The city's relentless energy is a direct result of forcing millions of intelligent, driven people to operate within a finite area. This creates an environment where ideas, transactions, and innovations move faster than anywhere else. This unique formula, where limited space fuels a furious pace of progress, is what makes Manhattan uniquely great.
I absorb this palpable power and energy!
